7/27/2023 0 Comments Katana dc justice league![]() Anyway other than the annoyance of having to buy figures I already own, I like the Katana figure. With these two packs, I already had the Justice League figures long before these were announced. Making us buy Wonder Woman yet again to be able to complete our New 52 Justice League of America team is a tactic I am not very fond of, and yes I am aware that I will have to buy an entire boxset of villains that will be released in individual packaging later on if I want to get Catwoman for my team, but at least in that case since I have not yet bought those villains in the individual packages so I can choose to wait and get them all in the boxset. Overall -I am not a huge fan of having to buy figures I already have to get ones I don’t. Quality Control Issues - No significant quality control issues that I have come across. I say this with almost every DC Collectible figure, the lack of articulation is disappointing but is even more glaring with a ninja-like character such as this one.Īccessories - Wonder Woman comes with a sword like the single packaged version did and Katana comes with her Katana sword. She is pretty limited in poses beyond basic standing though she can put both hands on her sword and can almost reach the sword on her back when it is in the sheath. She has ball-jointed shoulders, bicep swivels, single elbows, cut hips, single jointed knees and calf swivel above her boots. Katana’s head has no up or down movement, just left to right. Wonder Woman is identical to the previous two figures. There are no significant paint errors on either figure other than the elbow joint on Katana’s right arm which was left silver instead of being painted red like the rest of the arm.Īrticulation - Both figures have basic articulation as with most of the DC Collectible figures. Even the handle on the sword has some nice paint detailing with the reds and grays used on it. For her lipstick, they gave her an almost black-gray with a little red dot in the middle which is a nice touch. Her hair is all black and she has white on the mask with a red dot in the middle. Some spots of the hinge joints at the elbow are still silver opposed to red. ![]() Katana uses a metallic gray on the armor portions of her costume with a lighter metallic silver on the armor pieces found on her right arm with a red paint use for the sleeve. Again, Wonder Woman is pretty much identical to the previously released figures. Paint - The paint job is very solid on both figures. The detailing here is very nice and true to how the character appears in the comic. The head features a sculpted mask over the top half of the face leaving her mouth and part of her nose exposed. The sword sheath found on her back is non-removable. It does allow her to be posed as if she is holding the sword with two hands if you want. The right hand is sculpted so she can hold her sword while the other hand is open but in a way that doesn’t really allow it to hold the sword tightly. Katana has some nice detailing with the armor plating on her right arm as well as her hair and costume. It has a little different facial expression, slightly noticeable with the eyes. Sculpt - The Sculpt for the Wonder Woman is close to identical to the ones previously released. Under that are full images of the Flash and Vibe figures.įor mint in package collectors, you will struggle to find packaging that doesn’t have a big crease mark on the back where the thin cardboard at the top bends along the point where the actual box containing the figures begins. The other two pack will feature Flash and Vibe. Thumb images of the figures with a brief description for the characters are shown on the back along with thumb images for the next two pack to be released. The left side also has some shadow art of the characters and says Justice League next to Wonder Woman and Justice League of America next to Katana. The left side of the box shows a picture of the figures and the name of the sculptors, Jon Matthews for Katana and Jack Matthews for Wonder Woman. Katana because the two face off in the current DC Comic Trinity War storyline. Even though both characters in this set are considered heroes, it says Wonder Woman vs. The figure names are on the bottom right corner. The figures come in a white window box with blue highlights on the right side to match the characters. Packaging - The packaging for the 2-pack is the same design as the single packaged figures, only twice as big. Is the set worth adding to your collection? Read on to find out.Ĭheck out hi-res images for this figure in our GALLERY below. This is the third time DC Collectibles has released a New 52 version of Wonder Woman but the first and currently only way to get a Katana figure. DC Collectibles releases the second of their 6” New 52 figure 2-packs with the Wonder Woman/Katana set which features a member of the Justice League and Justice League America.
